Concurrently with his soccer pursuits, he completed his undergraduate studies at Bethel University, majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. At the McLean Lab, he focused on Gene Drive Disorders, honing his laboratory skills and attention to detail. His academic excellence was recognized in 2019 when he was named the "Outstanding Student in Cell and Molecular Biology." In 2020, he published a peer-reviewed paper summarizing his undergraduate research.
